Hammer, Jigsaw, Screwdriver out now

The release of Hammer, Jigsaw, Screwdriver by Rowan sees the return of the label side of Young Thugs. We’re looking forward to collaborating with good friends and local talent on a bunch of releases over the coming year.

Rowan is a Coventry-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist living in York. He performs on his own and with a band across venues around the North of England.

His songs are sometimes dark, often humourous, but always poignant - with influences ranging from traditional folk to alternative rock, and sometimes even electronica.

In 2021 he released a five-minute collection of 9 short songs called ‘a song’ (as ‘Rowan Evans’). And since then he’s been working on 100s of new normal length songs and recording a few of them in Amsterdam and York. ‘Hammer, Jigsaw, Screwdriver’ is the first of these to be released as a single, and is probably his third song that is about tools.
